Pro Wrestling Shows
I’ve filmed and edited full shows and matches for two promotions.
Unified Championship Wrestling, a promotion from Christchurch, NZ who have been running in some form since 2018. From May 2024 – April 2025 I was living in Christchurch and filmed, edited and released all of the show footage from their shows including: Most Wanted, Southern Stampede, Wrestlemas & Summer for Assault.
I was involved in creating various promotional material for the shows, most of which is visible on the Unified Instagram Page.
After moving back to the UK I am still connected with them and have been working on editing shows from footage filmed by a local team.
Alongside Unified I was asked to film the return show for New Japan Tamashii to Christchurch in July 2024.
This took place at the Rolleston College and featured wrestlers who have previously wrestled in Japan including, Bad Luck Fale & The Natural Classics.
No commentary was arranged for this show and as such only one match from the show was released on the Tamashii Youtube channel.
Aeones Music Video
I was asked by the progressive rock band Aeones to record their music video for their new single Salmon Chimes. This was their first proper music video filmed with no budget for locations.
Filmed over the course of an evening and on very short notice to get the edit together I was able to produce a simple music video following the band playing through the song.
The band were really happy with the produced piece and have since contacted me regarding photographs at gigs in future.
Wedding Videography
Alongside my wife I was a part of Willow Wedding Videography who over the course of 18 months captured roughly 10-15 weddings starting from nothing. Weddings are always a pleasure to capture and each has it’s own unique challenges from a filming point of view.
From full day filming to short ceremony only events we captured a wide range of special days.
The films that we were allowed to post by the couples are still available on the Willow Wedding Videography Youtube channel.
Wrestling Documentary
While in New Zealand I took it upon myself to create a documentary following the rise and fall of the various promotions that had been in Christchurch over the past 10 years.
From filming 30+ hours of interviews with local talent, from all generations, to trawling through the huge archive of footage this was a labour of passion that ended up in a 90 minute brief history of the wrestling scene in Christchurch.
I hope to re-visit this in 2035 after another 10 years of history have passed to see what stories have occurred since.
